You will be making a versatile bag using a Japanese Good Luck block pattern called “Kurume Kasuri Fukumoji” adapted from “JAPANESE QUILT BLOCKS to mix and match” book by Susan Brisco. This block will be the front of your bag hopefully bringing you good luck in your adventures, besides being a conversation piece. The bag is lined and you will be shown how to do the bottom corners to add depth to your bag. This bag is fun and easy to make - also makes a wonderful gift. Finished size the block is 11” square. Bag size is 15 ½” x 17” with a 4” dept.
Quilting Experience Needed
The $10.00 Village Sewing Deposit holds your spot for the class and can be paid by phone or in person. The $50.00 Instructors Class Fee must be paid in person at the Santa Rosa store prior to the class. This fee can be cash, (preferred and you will be given a receipt), or a check made out to the instructor, Barbara Derringer. When this is done, you will receive a class supply list which you will need for the class. The class fee will be held until the date of the class. It is non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of the class or if you do
not attend the class without notification. Exception: if your place is filled by someone on the waiting list . The VSC $10.00 fee is non-refundable.
