UKIAH - Autumn Acorn Mug Mat - 16 Aug 2025

🍂 What could be better than sipping a steaming mug of something warm and tasty on a crisp and cool day? Having a "sip and sit" with a mug mat that blends autumn with nearly every quilter's favorite thing - a sparkling star! Time to kick off your first fall project.

Materials needed: 

1 square 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" , cream print for star background and backing

1 square 2" x 2" , gold print for star center square

1 charm aquare (5" x 5") each of dark green, cranberry, and orange prints for star patchwork

1 rectangle, 3" x 6" , brown print for acorn cap

1 rectangle, 1 3/4" x 5" medium green print for acorn stem 

1 recatangle, 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" , batting for mug mat filler 

Brown thread to match acorn cap

Optional: 1 sheet, 8 1/2" x 11" , of freezer paper 

A working sewing machine, power cord, foot control, sewing machine accessories: bobbins, seam ripper, needles.

Class Fee: $10 to reserve your spot & $40 to be paid to Village Sewing Center. Non refundable. Please be respectful of the instructor and others, if you know you're not going to make it, advice us days before the class so we can fill your spot. $40 to be paid before the class to offically secure your spot.
