This class is a continuation of the Kids Sewing Summer Camp 1. It is slightly more advanced than the first one and will build on skills learned in the first class. It is not required to have taken the first class, but it is recomended that your child is knowledgable in certain areas of sewing before signing up for this class.
In this class we will be learning some beginner advanced skills for sewing like how to properly use your machine, how to cut fabric, how to reinforce straight stiches with an emphasis on techniques to keep your stitches straight. After completing this class, students will know the difference between the right and wrong side of fabric, how to pin so that they can easily remove pins as they sew, how to secure straight stitches, and how to pivot to sew corners. They will also get more practice with the different sewing tools available that help seamstresses and quilters sew clean, straight lines.
