The Husqvarna Viking Designer Epic 3 Nordic Frost is built for sewists and embroiderers who have outgrown every limitation. With the industry's largest embroidery area at 460x450mm, a redesigned embroidery unit, reversible hoop capability, and presser foot recognition technology, this machine handles projects that other machines simply cannot. The 10.1" full-color touch screen, 871 built-in stitches, and 912 embroidery designs give you an enormous creative range, while creativate cloud connectivity keeps your designs, software, and projects synced across devices.

Redesigned Embroidery Unit

The updated embroidery unit runs quieter and with less vibration than previous generations. An ergonomic hoop connection system makes attaching and removing hooped projects noticeably easier. The unit supports the 450x450mm Mega Turnable Hoop, giving you the largest single-hoop embroidery area on the market.

Presser Foot Recognition and Stitch Creator

The presser foot recognition system uses a neural network to detect which Husqvarna Viking original presser foot is attached. If the foot differs from what's recommended for your selected stitch, the machine alerts you on screen. It also notifies you if the foot is attached incorrectly. Stitch Creator lets you design a 9mm stitch from scratch or modify any of the 871 built-in stitches for full creative control.

10.1" Touch Screen and Hoop Scanning

The 10.1" capacitive touch screen (1280x800 resolution, 180-degree viewing) displays stitches at actual size, shows embroidery time countdowns by color, and lets you combine, resize, rotate, mirror, and recolor designs directly on screen. Hoop Scanning lets the machine scan your hoop and load a picture of your hooped project on screen so you can preview design placement and choose colors before stitching a single stitch.

creativate Cloud and WiFi Connectivity

Transfer embroidery designs to the machine over WiFi without a USB stick. Access the mySewnet Library for thousands of ready-made designs, browse the creativate Blog for free projects, and store files in 100MB of free cloud storage accessible right from the screen. The included embroidery software works on both PC and Mac.

Integrated Dual Feed and Sewing Performance

Integrated Dual Feed technology feeds fabric from the top and bottom simultaneously, handling multiple layers, knits, and slippery fabrics without a separate walking foot. With 37 needle positions, 16 buttonholes plus 3 eyelets, three free-motion modes, and a pulsating needle force of 150 N, this machine sews as seriously as it embroiders.

Specialty Techniques and Embellishments

The machine comes loaded with 35 specialty techniques including Thread Velvet, ribbon embroidery, free-arm embroidery, and felting. The Designer Embellishment Attachment lets you stitch ribbon, beads, or yarn directly onto fabric. Guided Pictogram Stitch walks you through creating large sewing motifs step by step, with automatic stops and projected pivot guides.
