- One garment in need of repair (jeans, jacket, shirt, sweater, tote bag, etc.)
- Fabric scraps (cotton, linen, or denim work well)
- Embroidery floss or hand-sewing thread

- Straight pins or sewing clips
- Embroidery hoop (optional)
