Saturday, August 16th, 10:30am - 3:00pm
🧵The purpose of this project is to introduce quilt piecing and binding. Only 6 spots available so sign up today. Bring water and a snacks.
Materials Needed
- 16 – 2 ½ inch x 2 ½ inch squares, 100% Cotton fabrics of your choice.
(I used a package of cotton 5 inch “charm squares” ARTFUL BLOOMS for variety – Simply cut each square into 4 pieces. ) Must be 100% cotton, heat and polyester do not mix well.
- Prewashed 100% cotton Terry Cloth bath wash cloth or hand towel – color of your choice – I purchased a package of 2 white bath wash clothes and two white bath hand towels at Costco. – They are nice and thick.
- Regular sewing thread- I used white so that it would not show on white hand towel.
- Clips
- New sewing needle- Universal size 80 or a Microtex size 80
- ¼ yard “Insul-Bright” needled insulated lining or similar product
- One strip 2 ½” inches x 45 inches, width of fabric.
(You will need a strip as there are no curves in this project so the binding doesn’t have to be on the bias.
- Walking foot for your sewing machine- Optional but extremely helpful
